Case Study: Wickes


TPG Live were briefed to create and activate a scale face-to-face campaign to drive awareness of Wickes offers and services to the building trade.


TPG developed the ‘Fill your Boots’ mechanic – an in-store temporary set that communicated if trade signed up in store they would receive an instant goodie bag:

  • The goodie bag contained useful materials for the trade – pens, pad, MoP vouchers etc – keeping brand front of mind and included trade price lists.
  • Trained staff spoke to target consumers and highlighted the promotion workings at key time of need in-store.
  • All target details were collated and returned to Wickes to increase their database and use for CRM post campaign activity.
  • Merchandise was left with store staff at the end of event days to maintain branding post promotion.
